Professional Sound & Lighting Systems...
Using state-of-the-art sound systems, MidKnight Productions can provide bi-amped, crystal clear sound for your event. We are proud users of Rane, Virtual DJ, Crown, BBE, Peavey & Mackie Sound Gear. A Laptop & DMX controlled lighting system to create choreographed and unique lighting effects for your event. We have dozens of lighting fixtures to choose from and we are proud users of Martin, ADJ, Venue & Chauvet Lighting products.
Professional Event Execution...
At Midknight Productions we look, dress and act professional at all times. From tucking all of our wiring under skirts / scrims and out of sight to courteous and professional DJs, we always remain attentive to our client's various needs. We will help you plan your event all the way down to professionally produced fliers and signage. We also use only legally purchased & obtained music & videos in our performances.

We Love what we do, not to mention we like to share that love of music and the experience of an event with everyone. To be a good DJ, we believe this is key. This is not just 'a job to do' for us. MidKnight Productions DJ Services is a Brand of Excellence. It’s also what has kept us in the DJ business for over 42 years and driving us forward.
Professionalism, for us, is multi-faceted. Our equipment and presentation at any event we perform must be first-class each time. When we set up our sound & lighting gear, we want the cleanest setup we can provide to our clients. Yes, this takes extra time, but the result is worth the extra effort. Presentation for us is paramount. We do the little things like hide the wiring behind skirts & scrims and tape wires to the floor for safety and we are never, ever late to an event.
In the digital age, we have curated our own music library that we keep on our laptops and do not require a WiFi connection to play our music.
Over the years we have heard the negative stories of how other DJs/bands or event coordinators have destroyed an event or wedding due to inexperience or lack of quality gear... We realize that the wedding or event we are DJing at is a one-shot deal and that there are no 'do-overs’, nor can anyone turn back the hands of time. Therefore, we do it right the first time, every time. This means we communicate with our clients frequently to be sure we understand their ‘vision’ for the event.
We also believe in doing business the old-fashioned way: Face to face & Under Contract. This is the only way we secure bookings.

We can help you plan your wedding to perfection with our multi-step itinerary and in-house planner. See our dedicated Wedding Section below for more information.
Private Parties & Corporate Events
We perform at everything from Bithday Parties to Graduation/Open-House Events with themes. We also do Bachelor & Bachelorette Parties as well. Got a theme for a party? Chances are we can do that too!
Street Fairs, County Fairs, Public Performances
We perform at Outdoor Events too! We do 'Family-Friendly' events with ease! We can scale up the size of our Sound and Lighting Systems to handle large events with no problem. The careful planning and coordination of these events is somthing we can handle with ease.
Music & Genres
We carry about 2 million songs on our laptops with access to 90 million more from the online music services we use. Our music spans from the 1920's to the present day. You pick the genre(s) of music and we will stay within those as we play. Our music also spans almost every genre in existance.
Charities, Causes & Veterans
We do these type of events depending on the charitiy or cause in question. Certain restrictions and contractural/advertising obligations may apply. Contact us for details.
Bars, Taverns, Pubs & Clubs
We perform at these venues for special events, Holidays, Theme-Parties, etc. We also bring a full DMX Controlled lighting system to these events. (subject to date availability, acceptance & under contract) $250 Minimum per night. We do not do karaoke.
Other Services & Info
All DJ & Lighting services are extended under our general, wedding, charity or bar entertainment contracts. We service a large geograpical area which includes Indiana, Illinois and the lower half of Michigan.
Flier & Graphics Production
With a full suite of Adobe software and other products, we can produce fliers, websites, video promos and graphic designs suitable for your event we are performing at. This can include production of social media events.
Our Equipment
Our Sound System
Our professional, bi-amped, sound system is 2500 watts to project clean & pristine sound to our audience.
- We use Crown amplifiers to ensure reliability and provide clean sound.
- We also use a BBE processor to further provide a cleaner sound as well as a 1/3 octave EQ.
- For our controller section, we use a Rane Four controller with Serato Pro & Virtual DJ.
- In our four speaker setup, we use a custom engineered setup: Eminence with PRV horns for the tops and PRV subs for the bottoms.
- For wireless mics we use Shure and Audio Technica.
Our Lighting System
Our lighting system consists of quality, name brand lighting from 'moving-heads' to lasers DMX controlled by a laptop.
- Chauvet moving-head fixtures & Martin scanner fixtures.
- Chauvet lasers.
- ADJ & Chauvet LED fixtures.
- Venue Par 64 fixures for wash effects.
- Martin high volume fog machines.
- The light show is fully customizable to any venue.
About Our Weddings
No matter how large or small a wedding it will require careful planning and coordination on your part and ours. We have many years of experience and the tools to help make this day a special one. We will always maintain open and prompt communication with the happy couple all the way up through that special day.

- All key music for your wedding will be locally stored on our laptops. We do not use 'online music services' for our wedding music.
- Wedding DJ & Lighting prices vary greatly depending on equipment options selected, level of coordination and if its formal or informal. We will need to discuss the full details of your wedding to extend an accurate price quote for our service offerings.
- Our calendar tends to fill up for the months of May through August rather quickly so booking earlier in the year is better. This will give you the best chance of booking a date with us.
